learning

Last week felt like a blur!
Lots of things have happened and has left me feeling slightly lost and all over the place. I don't feel comfortable saying anything right now to you, dear readers, as I'm not entirely sure how I feel myself!
Sorry that's all a bit cryptic and dangling of carrots! It's nothing terrible though I promise and no I'm not pregnant, so you can get any thoughts like that out of your head!!

One very good thing came out of last week...

I learnt to crochet! I went along to a workshop at The Make Lounge in Islington on Tuesday evening and set to under the guidance of Emma. Thanks to her it all seemed very clear and it was good to have someone to put those silly questions again and again to - mainly 'which bit of the stitch do I put the hook into?'

Look what I made!

I have since made these too.

I really want to move on to doing granny squares and more flowers. I have tried in vain to follow the patterns in my many books but it just seems to be in another language!! I need Emma again!
I feel like I am accomplishing things in my 40th year....OK I can only count two - so far! Learning to play the piano (forever ongoing by my reckoning) and now crochet (if only I would stop spelling it with a 't' - which is a music note - see piano above!) Maybe this year I will finally move off scarf knitting and onto a pattern!
Does anyone have a good 'easy' pattern that hopefully resembles a scarf but isn't one? Please let me know!

I'm off to have my haircut today as it is in dire need of it. I hope the person who washes my hair gives me a lovely head massage!

Someone else had her hair (or fur) cut this weekend........

Whats that old saying about owners looking like their pets or is it pets like their owners???

Me and Maisie La Moo are sharing the same colouring, I have yet to get a red flower though!

the pooch is too cute. I'd love to know your thought on crochet vs knitting ... one easier that the other? I don't know if this old dog here can learn a new trick!
